Healesville Sanctuary is indulging once again in our fabulous Wine and Wildlife Weekend, Queens Birthday long weekend 9, 10 and 11 June 2012.

Enjoy the amazing combination of wildlife experiences with the tastes of the Yarra Valley. Healesville Sanctuary has partnered with Sanctuary Harvest Café, De Bortoli Yarra Valley Estate, Napoleone & Co Cider, Coldstream Brewery and Kennedy and Wilson Chocolate to come together to create a gourmet experience with a difference.

It's the opportunity to indulge in some great local food brought to you by the Sanctuary's own Harvest Cafe (Healesville Hotel) with indigenous flavours as well as wine, beer, cider, chocolate and cheese tastings against the backdrop of the Sanctuary's rustic pavilions with roaring open fires. Plus, you can feast your eyes on some amazing Australian wildlife and experience our Spirits of the Sky flight spectacular or visit our new Land of Parrots exhibit.

What's on the menu?

Warming winter minestrone soup complimented by tastings of a fabulous range of De Bortoli wines and Meredith Goat’s Cheese.  Local free-range pork slow roasted over hot coals in a crusty bread roll with Sanctuary Harvest's very own braised cabbage and apple & muntrie berry chutney complimented by tastings of Napoleone & Co Cider Apple and Pear cider. Other choices include Healesville's K&B gourmet angus beef and beer sausages with rocket and mustard seed relish in a crusty roll complimented by tastings of Coldstream brewery beer or delicious locally produced chocolate and hot chocolate from Kennedy and Wilson.
