1. A Booked Discovery Session
This program can include a booked 45 minute session in the Discovery Centre that allows students to get up close and personal with our animals.
Experienced educators engage students and explore the big idea that ‘the connections existing within ecosystems are affected by human actions.'
We ask teachers to arrange for each class to prepare three ‘Master Questions' that are thought provoking and require an answer that cannot be gained elsewhere. These questions will be addressed as part of the discussions in the Discovery Centre session.
2. Independants/Self guided visit
Students can complete activities independently on a self- guided visit at any time during the day.
Teachers are asked to select the activities they wish their students to undertake and download and print off sufficient materials for the visit.
If using any of the student materials, students will need to bring a clipboard and pen on the day. Teachers should arrange students into small groups and give instructions as to appropriate conduct during the day and arrange for adequate supervision.
