How similar are we to other animals? Through classification we can compare the similarities and differences between us and the animals of Melbourne Zoo.

Students investigate the concept of classification, both scientific and practical, and apply this to a problem solving task that will take them around the zoo. 

Interactive experiences and unique animal encounters inspire students to work together, challenging their ideas and encouraging them to think outside the square.

Students will demonstrate the skills required for a basic understanding of taxonomy and appreciate the relevance of different types of classification systems in a real setting.
