Come and observe a wide range of animals, from Wombat, Snake and Frogs through to Baboons and Gorillas and explore their amazing and varied reproductive strategies.

Students will explore the reproductive techniques used at the Zoo for breeding captive animals, particularly endangered species.

Topics covered in this program include;

• The process of reproducton.
• Viviparous, oviparous and ovoviparous.
• Parthenogenesis.
• Embryonic diapause.
• Artificial insemination.
• Captive breeding programs.

This program can be used to meet the requirements of the School Assessed Coursework (SAC). On completion of the student trail students can write up a summary report that can be assessed.
